2024-25 Council Members
A big thanks goes out to those members who have accepted an officer and/or director position to help keep things run smoothly! In our April meeting we confirmed the following members to the positions noted for our fraternal year starting July 1, 2024. Thank you Brothers Al Frattarola, John Filosa, and Frank Annunziato for stepping up this year to be our new Grand Knight, Deputy Grand Knight, and Three Year Trustee! All other posts remained the same as last year.

Recent, Current, and Upcoming Events

Sunday June 30: 5th Sunday Rosary following 9:00 AM Mass
We host this event after the 9:00 mass every month that has five Sundays. Your attendance would be greatly appreciated - it only takes an additional 20 minutes after mass!

Thursday July 25: Jan-Jun 2024 Audit Review at home of FS Kirk Trautman
All members are welcome to attend.

Friday July 26: KofC Family Night at Wilmington Blue Rocks (game starts at 6:35 pm)
PLEASE RSVP TO TONY BY MON JULY 8 TO HOLD YOUR TICKETS!
Cost is $16 per person which includes an awesome fireworks display after the game!
We will be located in the first 10 rows above the 3rd base line. The Wilmington Blue Rocks are the High-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals and will be playing the Hudson Valley Renegades, a High-A affiliate of the New York Yankees.

Thursday August 1: Blood Drive
The Blood Drive will run from 2-7 pm in the church social hall. We can use volunteers to help setup, manage donor seating, and reset tables at the end. Contact Health Service Director Tom Kelly at [email protected] or (610) 500-6016 to let him know when you are available to help. You must register in advance by going to the following website, entering zip code 19342, and selecting St. Thomas the Apostle Church. Thursday August 22: Officers and Directors planning meeting
All members are welcome to attend this informal planning meeting. As always, we will start promptly at 7:00 pm.

Saturday September 7: COOK at Capt'n Chucky's
Address: 5149 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073 (https://captnchuckysnewtownsquare.com/).
Grills will be fired up around 5:30 am and we can use all the help we can get. We generally finish up around 10am
depending on the number of volunteers. Join us as we:
    - Grill 800 pounds of beef
    - Combine beef with 130+ gallons of tomato sauce, onions and cheese; cook to 170 degrees
    - Package, freeze, and deliver sauce to two area soup kitchens:
          * Saint Francis Inn (Philadelphia, PA)
          * Emanuel Dining Room (Wilmington, DE)
 Provides enough meat sauce for 10,000 meals to those in need!

Thursday September 12: General Council Meeting
We will be meeing we will be meeting in the church social hall and start the promptly at 7:00 pm.

Friday September 13: St Thomas the Apostle Back to School BBQ
We need many volunteers from 5:00 pm - 8:30 pm to cook & package hamburgers & hot dogs, man the calendar sale table and help clean & store the grill.

- July TBD:  Volunteer with Missionaries of Charity project in Chester PA
- Aug TBD:  Volunteer prepare and serve lunch using our famous meat sauce at Emmanuel Dining Room in Wilmington DE
